Haller Park is a remarkable storyâtransformed from a cement quarry back into a functioning ecosystem. Fed giraffes from a platform and watched hippos grunt in the reclaimed ponds. Nyali Beach was clean and quiet compared to the chaos of Bamburi. The biriani at Barka Restaurant was spicy, fragrant, and ridiculously cheap at about 400 shillings.
