Head back to Copenhagen and take a canal tour from Nyhavn, gliding past the Opera House, the Black Diamond library, and Christiansborg.

Tivoli Gardens at night was pure magic. We arrived at 4pm and stayed until closing, and the transformation when the fairy lights came on was incredible. The vintage roller coaster is surprisingly thrilling. We ate at one of the restaurants inside and it was surprisingly good, not overpriced theme park food at all. Friday's rock concert was a bonus.

Renting a bike changed everything. Once you're on two wheels, Copenhagen makes perfect sense. The bike lanes are wide, separated from traffic, and everyone follows the rules.
